Ashley Gardiner

Looking back, Ashley can see that his passion for personal finance started as a young teenager after his father's business failed and he learned an immediate and personal lesson in finances. While teaching at West Point, his favorite classes were teaching personal finance and seeing the cadets gain an understanding of powerful financial concepts. When Ashley retired from the Army in 2025, a move into financial services and financial planning was a perfect fit.

Ashley joined Praetorian Guard immediately after retiring from the Army in October 2025. After serving in the Army for 22 years, Ashley put the culture at his next firm at the forefront of his search and as a Veteran owned and operated business, the culture at Praetorian Guard, and their focus on the client is exactly the fit that Ashley was looking for. Ashley works with clients who have a wide range of financial needs but focuses on military veterans and their unique financial situations.

Ashley earned a Master of Business Administration from Harvard Business School and taught economics at West Point for four years before he retired from the Army in 2025. Prior to joining Praetorian Guard, Ashley served most of his Army career as a Special Operations Aviator and completed 11 combat deployments. Ashley has a Series 65 certification and passed the CFP® national exam in July, 2026.

Ashley lives in Wilmington, Delaware with his wife, Erin and their three daughters, Reagan, Jane, and Kate. He is a fan of Formula 1 racing, and enjoys driving cars on track, golf, fishing, boating, and spending time with family.
